Multi-skilled Logistics Operative

At the heart of our warehouse, you will take part in every stage of the logistics chain: receiving, putting away, picking and dispatching pharmaceutical orders.

- Open and close the establishment in Management's absence
- Take part in on-call duties according to the published rota
- Work independently at every logistics stage, from collecting goods to dispatching delivery rounds
- Check shipments before dispatch and ensure conformity
- Help new colleagues understand logistics operations and use equipment (handheld devices, bins, trolleys, etc.)
- Carry out stocktakes
- Receive goods when the receiving operator is absent: welcome carriers, record receipts in the system and store products according to their requirements (controlled drugs, refrigerated products, quarantine, etc.)
- Store products according to their requirements and designated storage areas
- Immediately alert Management to any discrepancy or malfunction
- Contribute ideas daily and take a continuous improvement approach
- Support the Quality/Safety and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy by following the measures in place and suggesting improvements
Required skills and qualities
Technical skills
- •Proficiency with internal logistics tools (Odoo and, where applicable, Office)
- •Able to organise and assess your own work
- •Sound knowledge of Good Distribution Practice and current procedures
- •Careful handling of refrigerated and high-value products
- •Prepare customer orders (pick stock using FEFO and pack goods)
- •Inform the logistics manager of relevant events (receipt disputes, stock errors, etc.)
- •Keep the workspace tidy, clean and well maintained; sort waste and flatten cardboard boxes
Safety rules
- •Fire safety rules
- •Personal safety rules (safety shoes and handling heavy loads)
- •Rules for using handling equipment
- •Building access rules (secure entrances, keep alarm codes confidential and do not leave visitors alone on site)
Licences and authorisations
- •Category B driving licence with sufficient remaining points for safe driving
- •Current CACES handling-equipment certificate (training may be arranged with the manager if needed)
- •Inform your supervisor of any technical issue with the delivery truck
